The don't have many safety lights at night. The site is well mapped out and if you just have a tent and need to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, make sure you bring a flashlight because it is dark. It looks like it needs a very good paint job and there was always a weird smell in that building. I don't have many negative points except the shower area could be a bit better. They made my search more than easy to select from.

Staff was more than helpful especially when you look around for pizza delivery. No more for me! I decided to give it a go and Acorn was our destination. Camping is not my forte especially after serving the armed forces where I did lots of camping in all seasons. This past August, my sister thought it would be nice to stay for a week in Wildwoods for some down time. There are other campgrounds that we will patronize.… Campground roads we in desperate need of grating, as there were pot holes everywhere & we adhere to the 5mph posted speed limit.but who could go over 5mph without damaging their vehicles or trailers? Sorry to say that we will not be camping at Acorn again. We bring family & friends to this establishment, but not anymore. Moved all over the campground and not near each other, and one of us was on the other side of the campground! Why couldn’t they have told us when we reserved specific sites that they don’t guarantee the site selections? But they did not! They may advertise that they are a family campground, but my view has certainly changed, and not for the better. Manager wasn’t the most pleasant person when asked why they couldn’t return our calls.

However, this year we reserved in March for 3 specific sites in a row (as we’ve always done) for family and friends so we could be next to each other.didn’t happen & we weren’t pleased to say the least! My husband and I attempted to call twice, & left voicemails without receiving a reply. We are avid campers and have been making our annual camping trip to Acorn for over 20 years (since our children were 10 & under) without an issue. Barcelo Bavaro Palace All Inclusive ResortĪcorn was apparently taken over by Thousand Trails, which we were unaware of until the day we checked in.
